Czechoslovakian Cookie Bars

1/2 lb. butter (room temp)
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup strawberry jam

Preheat oven at 325º.
Grease 8˝ square baking pan.
In mixing bowl cream butter until soft,
gradually add sugar creaming until light and soft.
Add egg yolks and blend well.
Gradually add flour and mix thoroughly.
Fold in chopped nuts.
Spoon half of batter into baking pan.
Top with strawberry jam, then cover with remaining batter.
Bake 1 hr or until lightly brown.
Remove from oven, cool and cut into 1˝x 2˝ bars.
