Mary’s Mother’s Potato Cougle
9 raw potatoes grated (don’t strain)
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
bacon fat or ham pieces (for flavor)
1/2 cup milk
sour cream
Mix egg, salt, milk and bacon fat.
Then mix this with potatoes.
Place into greased baking dish.
Baked for approx. 1 hr. at 350º until golden brown.
Another “old country” feel to this dish.
Again best served topped with – yup sour cream.
